Provide Staff and Consultant with Direction FINANCIAL STATEMENT Preliminary Estimate - $685,848.00 Available Budget - $582,290.00 DESCRIPTION At the November 13, 1989 meeting of the Dublin City Council, the Council authorized staff to retain the services of Beals/Lechner Associates to provide landscape architectural services for the renovation of the Dublin High School Football Field and Track. This project was included in the 1988-93 Capital Improvement Program and funds were appropriated in the Fiscal Year 1989-90 Budget for design and construction. Staff and the Consultant have developed a preliminary design for review by the Commission. The design includes the following items: 1. Replacement of dirt track with an all-weather surface. 2. New scoreboard and goal posts. 3. Upgrade home and visitor bleachers. 4. Replace wood players benches with aluminum benches. 5. Install a new restroom/snack facility. 6. Install a new scorers booth. 7. Renovate football field surface. 8. Grade dirt areas and add trees to screen stadium. 9. Upgrade field lighting. There is presently $582,290 available for this project and the preliminary estimate for the aforementioned. work is $685,848. Consequently it is necessary to identify items that can be bid as alternates in the event that, when bid, the project exceeds the available funding. Staff has initially identified. the scoreboard, the visitor bleachers, the lighting and the stadium screening as possible alternates. It is recommended that the Parks and Recreation Commission take the following action: 1. Receive the presentation from Beals/Lechner 2. Receive public comment 3.
