Subject:Nissan Dealership on Kaiser Property
Hello Amy,
I cannot attend the planning commission meeting on March 26, 2019 but would like to provide feedback regarding this
project.
I’m not entirely against a car dealership in this location however if this were approved I would want certain restrictions
in place. The restrictions I would want are as follows:
‐ maximum height of 2 stories however single story is preferred
‐ all lights must be turned off by 11pm every night
‐ no PA system can be used
‐ no vehicle deliveries before 8am and after 10pm and no transport trucks on Dublin Blvd
The frontage road parallel to the freeway extended and all deliveries and entrance to the dealership use this road, not
Dublin Blvd.
I feel this location isn’t a good fit for a car dealerships as they are open almost daily for long hours and this location is
next to and across the street from homes. I feel this would lower property values and violate provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act with regards to the noise pollution that would result from the project thus impacting the
quality of life for those who live near this location. The Kaiser building is an eyesore that keeps the neighborhood up at
night with all their lights constantly being on. After moving in I also have a bus stop below me (that wasn’t there when I
moved in) that runs every 15 minutes between 5:30am to 12:30am. My sleep is constantly being disturbed and my
quality of life is diminishing due to Kaiser, the bus stop, the planned high school, which as their inspector told them will
be built on land too small for a high school. Please do not add a car dealership to the list unless it is held to the
restrictions listed above as well as similar items brought up by others.
Thank you,
Lisa Barclay
