DESCRIPTION: On March 6, 2001, the City Council awarded Contract No. 00-14, Alamo Canal Bike Path Project from Amador Valley Boulevard south to the Iron Horse Trail Junction, to Carone & Sons, Inc. This project extended the Iron Horse Trail south to Dougherty Road by constructing the section between Amador Valley Boulevard and the portion of the trail built by the developer of the Park Sierra Apartment complex. Staff has reviewed the work included in the project, and recommends that the City Council accept the improvements under Contract No. 00-14, Alamo Canal Bike Path Project from Amador Valley Boulevard south to the Iron Horse Trail Junction, and authorize the release of retention after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
