EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will consider granting an easement to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E)
over new electrical lines and a transformer serving the new electric vehicle charging stations on
the Dublin Sports Grounds property at 6700 Dublin Boulevard, Assessor's Parcel No. 941-1400-
002-13.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Resolution Granting an Easement to Pacific Gas and Electric Company for Electric
Facilities Purposes Over a Portion of Assessor's Parcel Number 941-1400-002-13.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the General Fund to effectuate the grant of easement. All costs associated
with preparing and reviewing the documents, legal description and plat map are charged to the
Citywide Energy Improvements Project, CIP No. GI0121, as this easement is required for the
installation of one of the items for the project.
DESCRIPTION:
The construction of the new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (five Level 2 EV chargers and
two direct current (DC) fast chargers) as a part of the Citywide Energy Improvements Project, CIP
No. GI0121, necessitated the installation of new electric service, a transformer, and associated
facilities from the existing electrical meter along Dublin Boulevard onto the City -owned Dublin
Sports Grounds property. Electric service is provided by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E),
who requires an easement over their electric facilities.
Staff recommends granting a new easement to PG&E over the new electric facilities, as depicted in

Figure 1 and described in the legal description and plat map attached to the proposed Easement
Deed.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR ELECTRIC
FACILITIES PURPOSES OVER A PORTION OF ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 941-1400-
002-13
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin owns the property located at 6700 Dublin Boulevard,
Assessor's Parcel Number 941-1400-002-13, ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, new improvements were constructed as a part of the Citywide Energy
Improvements Project, CIP No. GI0121, which require new electric service and a transformer; and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E") requires an easement over
electric service and transformer facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin grants
an easement to PG&E over a portion of the Property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute the
Easement Deed, attached hereto as Exhibit A. and make any necessary, non -substantive
changes to carry out the intent of this Resolution.

THE CITY OF DUBLIN, a political subdivision of the State of California,
EASEMENT DEED
hereinafter called Grantor, hereby grants to PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY, a
California corporation, hereinafter called Grantee, the right from time to time to excavate for,
construct, reconstruct, replace, remove, maintain, inspect, and use facilities and associated
equipment for public utility purposes, related to the electric service and transformer facilities,
on and under the easement area as hereinafter set forth, and also ingress thereto and egress
therefrom, over and across the lands of Grantor situated in the City of Dublin, County of
Alameda, State of California, described as follows:

The parcel of land conveyed by the Dublin San Ramon Services District and others to the City of
Dublin by quitclaim deed recorded July 1, 1988 as document No. 1988-158847, Alameda County
Records.
The easement area is described as follows:
The strip of land described in EXHIBIT "A" and shown on EXHIBIT "B" attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
Upon notification to Grantor, Grantor further grants to Grantee the right, from time to time, to trim or to
cut down, without Grantee paying compensation, any and all trees and brush now or hereafter within said
easement area, and shall have the further right, from time to time, to trim and cut down trees and brush
along each side of said easement area which now or hereafter in the opinion of Grantee and after
notification to the Grantor may interfere with or be a hazard to the facilities installed hereunder, or as
Grantee deems necessary to comply with applicable state or federal regulations.

Upon notification to Grantor, Grantor also grants to Grantee the right to use such portion of said lands
contiguous to said easement area as may be reasonably necessary in connection with the excavation,
construction, reconstruction, replacement, removal, maintenance and inspection of said facilities.
Grantor hereby covenants and agrees not to place or construct, nor allow a third party to place or
construct, any building or other structure, or store flammable substances, or drill or operate any well,
or construct any reservoir or other obstruction within said easement area, or diminish or substantially
add to the ground level within said easement area, or construct any fences that will interfere with the
maintenance and operation of said facilities.
This document may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original,
but all of which, together, shall constitute one and the same instrument.
The provisions hereof shall inure to the benefit of and bind the successors and assigns of the respective
parties hereto, and all covenants shall apply to and run with the land.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR PG&E EASEMENTS
Being a portion of Parcel 1, in the City of Dublin, County of Alameda, State of California,
as per Quitclaim Deed recorded July 1, 1988 as Instrument No. 1988-158847, Official
Records of said County, described as follows:
Strip 1
A strip of land 7.00 feet in width, lying 3.50 feet on each side of the following described
centerline:
Commencing at the westerly terminus of the line bearing North 72°43'54" West and the
beginning of a tangent curve concave southeasterly, having a radius of 12.00 feet, being
the southerly right-of-way of Dublin Boulevard (33.00 foot southerly half -width);
Thence along the said southerly right-of-way of Dublin Boulevard South 72°43'54" East,
a distance of 30.29 feet;
Thence South 17°56'04" West, a distance of 2.37 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence South 17°56'04" West, a distance of 8.58 feet to a point hereinafter referred to
as Point "A" and the Point of Ending.
Sidelines of said strip of land shall be prolonged or shortened as to terminate on the
