The measure would fund four major needs areas: environmental maintenance, public safety, resource protection/restoration, and public access. Manager On November 20, 2001, the Board of Directors of the East Bay Regional Park District voted in favor of placing a District-wide ballot measure on the March 5, 2002 election. This measure is needed to fund four major needs areas: environmental maintenance, public safety, resource protection/restoration, and public access. In order t© Provide the public and the cities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties with as much information as possible about this future measure, the Park District Board Members and Staff will be appearing before as many public agencies/organizations as Possible between now and March 5, 2002. The Board of Directors of the East Bay Regional Park District hereby requests that an agenda item be placed on a January or February Council Meeting agenda so that your Council can be updated on this ballot measure. The District envisions that its presentation would be no longer than 10 minutes in length. My office will contact you during the week of December 10th to follow up on this request.
