SUBJECT:
Acceptance of donations made to Dublin Police Services by local
businesses for the "Adopt-A-Cop" trading card program.

RECOMMENDATION:
1. Formally recognize the 41 local businesses who donated a total of
$4,400 for the Police Services "Adopt-A-Cop" trading card
program.
2. Accept the $4,400 in donations for trading card program.
3. Approve Budget Change Form,
4. Direct staff to prepare formal acknowledgement to the donors.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Acceptance of these donations will allow Dublin Police Services to
participate in the trading card program.
DESCRIPTION: Dublin Police Services received forty-one donations from local
citizens and businesses for the "Adopt-A-Cop" trading card program. These donations will enable Police
Services to contract for the photography and printing of the trading cards. Each officer and business will
receive 1,000 trading cards to be distributed to local citizens. These trading cards will increase
recognition and enhance relationships between Dublin Police, the community and specifically Dublin
youth.
TRADING CARD SPONSORS: Dublin Police Services received $4,400 in donations to the "Adopt-
A-Cop" trading card program. In addition to the monetary donations, Dublin Police Services received an
in-kind donation from Cauchi Photography. Jerry and Bobbi Cauchi donated their time and photography
services for five separate photography sessions, at various locations throughout the city.

REASON FOR BUDGET CHANGE ENTRY:
Contributions to the Trading Card program were originally anticipated to be $2,500, additional contributions
