SUBJECT: Acceptance of Gifts to City from St. Patrick's Day Sponsors

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: $20,350 in monetary sponsorships was received.
DESCRIPTION: The 2004 St. Patrick's Celebration was held on Saturday and
Sunday, March 13 &14, in downtown Dublin. Spring-like weather added considerably to the popularity
of the Festival with attendance estimated at over 50,000 people. Registration for the Fun Run increased to
over 1,500 runners this year, which was an increase of over 500 runners.
The Festival and Fun Run were well supported by local businesses. The City received $20,350 in
sponsorships for the weekend. In addition the City received overwhelming support in the form of in-kind
donations of goods and services. A list of the sponsors is shown below.

In recognition of their contributions the sponsors will be presented with certificates of appreciation and
commemorative gifts for supporting the St. Patrick's Day events.
Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be formally
accepted by the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council recognize the sponsors and
formally accept the contributions.
