BACKGROUND:
The City Council requested that DERWA (Dublin San Ramon Services District [DSRSD]- East Bay
Municipal Utility District [EBMUD] Recycled Water Authority) present an update on the various program
and construction activities to-date. DERWA is a Joint Powers Authority formed in 1995 between DSRSD
and EBMUD.
DERWA's mission is to provide a safe, reliable, and consistent supply of recycled water, and to maximize
the amount of recycled water delivered. The DERWA San Ramon Valley Recycled Water Program
(SRVRWP) will provide recycled water to customers in Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, and Dougherty
Valley.
