The purpose of the Committee is to allow representatives of various interested parties and the entire Tri-Valley community to gain a detailed understanding of current and future airport operations and the proposed modifications and improvemems to airport facilities. The role of the Advisory Committee will be to hear presentations, discuss and consider relevant topics, take public testimony at public meetings and make recommendations to the Livermore City Council regarding the Draft Airport Master Plan Update and the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration. The Committee will be comprised of 21 representatives form the Cities ofLivermore, Pleasanton and Dublin and the County of Alameda. It is anticipated that the Committee will hold six evening public meetings, every two to three weeks, and will make final recommendations regarding the Airport Mater Plan Update to the Livermore City Council in the fall of this year. The Livermore City Council has requested that the Dublin City Council appoint three (3) members to serve on the Committee, as follows: · One (1) City of Dublin City Council Representative · One (1) Dublin Business Community Representative · One (1) Dublin Citizen-at-Large Representative Mayor Lockhart recommends the following appointments: Vice Mayor George Zika as City Council Representative; Sybase Security Director Gabe Navarrette as the Business Community Representative; and David Froio as the Citizen-m-Large Representative. Staffrecommends that the City Council confirm the Mayor's appointments to the Livermore Airport Master Plan Update Advisory Committee.
