Approve Change Order with Valley Crest Landscape Development
in the amount of $69,977.30
Sufficient funds are available in the Emerald Glen Park Activity
Center CIP
DESCRIPTION: At the July 20, 2004 meeting of the Dublin City Council, the
Council approved the placement of modular buildings at Emerald Glen Park to provide alternate activity
space for Parks & Community Services Department classes and programs. The Council also approved
modifications to the Library Expansion Space for Staff offices. Both actions were a result of the closure
of the Shannon Community Center. Further the Council re-established the Emerald Glen Park Activity
Center CIP and approved a budget change in the amount of $182,985 to cover the costs associated with
site improvements and utility connections for the modular buildings, installation of the modular buildings,
modifications to library lobby for alternate office space and miscellaneous project expenses.
Valley Crest Landscape Development is under contract to the City for Emerald Glen Park Phase II and is
currently finishing work related to the installation of the temporary restroom facility and trenching for the
modular buildings that was approved by the City Council in previous Contract Change Orders. In order to
complete the site improvements for the modular buildings one additional change order is required for
$69,977.30.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council approve the
Change Order #27 for Valley Crest Landscape Development in the amount of $69,977.30.

price and force account. Unless otherwise stated, rates for rental of equipment cover only such time as equipment is actually used and no
allowance will be made for idle time.
