An additional appropriation from unappropriated Fund 300 (TIF) reserves will be required. DESCRIPTION: On October 19, 2004, the City Council approved the Final Estimate for the Dublin Boulevard Widening Project — Village Parkway to Sierra Court under Contract No. 01-10. The Final Estimate included a payment of $34,460 for 13 construction claim items filed by Granite Construction Company. Staff has continued to discuss the remaining claim items with the contractor for a COPIES TO: D Pagel of 2 ITEM NO. 1 GAMISCPROJ\dbw-vpw sien-aTroject\agst_approv proj extension to FY 05-06,doe possible final scttlemcnt, but due to the complexity and magnitude of the remaining itcms, discussions have extended through Fiscal Year 2005-2006. As a result, it is nccessary to extend the project through Fiscal Year 2005-2006 and acquire additional funds to pay for Staff time, legal fees and construction managcment services. The cstimated funding required is $74,913, excluding final payment of the claim. Staffwi11 make a separate request to Council for approval of the final claim settlement when that anlOunt is known. Staff recommends that the City Council approve the extension of CIP No. 96920, Dublin Boulevard Widening Project - Village Parkway to Sierra Court, through Fiseal Year 2005-2006, and approve a Budget Change in the amount of$74,913.
