A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the City of Dublin wishes to congratulate the Dublin High School Boys Varsity Baseball Team, the
Gaels. as they bring home the North Coast Section (NCS) Title with a 4 - 0 victory over Northgate in the
championship game Saturday, June 3, 2()06, at Cal State University's Evans Diamond in Berkeley, California,
and
WHEREAS, pitcher Emn Ellison took the moundfor Dublin and pitched a complete game shut out with just 2
hits to lift the Gaels to their first NCS. championship ever; and
WHEREAS, manager Shawn McHugh, along with assistants Jordan Indalecio, Joey Glushellko, Chris
MacDougal, Steven Arata, and Mike Sa have demonstrated skill, leadership and the ability to direct the Gaels to
afirst place finish; and
WHEREAS, players Brandon Arata, Craig Avanzino, David Barnes. Michael Corniola, David Edward, Evan
Ellison, Nick Fisher, AJ Funk, Adam Greenberg, Spencer Humphrey. Kyle Indalecio, Jorel Maderia, Josh
Mazzie, Cameron Miller, Brandon Pesicka, Aaron Plimmer, Anthony Podyma, Dan Silva, Branden Smith alld
Steven Uriyu are to be commendedfor their skill and success in the sport of baseball.
NOW, 1HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublm City Council does hereby recognize and
congratulate the Dublin Gaels Varsity Baseball TeamJor their win at the 2006 North Coast Section 2A East
Bay championship game, the first championship in Dublin High's baseball history, and wish them the best oj
luck in their future sportmg endeavors.
