A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
SUPPORTING VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL'S
APPLICATION TO
ALAMEDA COUNTY TO OBTAIN DESIGNATION AS AN
ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT BASE STATION HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, Valley Memorial Hospital has provided emergency
care to the residents of Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Livermore
and Sunol for 23 years; and
WHEREAS, Valley Memorial Hospital was instrumental in
the creation of Emergency Medical Service in Alameda County; and
WHEREAS, Valley Memorial Hospital has operated a basic
emergency room service and actively participated in the Emergency
Medical System of Alameda County since its inception; and
WHEREAS, Valley Memorial Hospital has actively supported
the expansion of Emergency Medical Services to include Advanced
Life Support; and
WHEREAS Valley Memorial Hospital has the facilities,
personnel and resources to provide leadership in Advanced Life
Support Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Dublin supporvs Valley Memorial Hospital's application
vo Alameda County to obtain designation as an Advanced Life
Support Base Station Hospital.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED vhis 8th day of April,
1985.
