FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
None.
DESCRIPTION: The Dublin Heritage Center has received a horse-drawn grader as a
gift from Mr. Bud Nielsen, The grader will be displayed at the Heritage Center and \:vill serve as an
addition to the educational tours provided by the Center.
This horse-drawn grader was purchased from the owner of \\'hat is now the Schaefer Ranch Development
prior to World War II and modified to be pulled by a tractor. Most of the agricultural roads on the Nielsen
Ranch were originally graded with this piece of equipment.
Per Government Code Section 37354, it i~ recommended that all gifts and contributions be formally
accepted by the City Council. Therefore, Staff is recommending that the City Council accept this gift and
direct Staff to prepare a formal acknowledgment to Mr. Nielsen.
