RECOMMENDATION:~~ Confirm Mayor's Appointments to the Senior Center Advisory
Committee
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: Following Dublin's general municipal elections in November of
even-numbered years, terms expire on each ofthe City's Commissions/Committee: Planning
Commission, Parks & Community Services Commission, Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission, and
Senior Center Advisory Committee. At its December 19, 2006 meeting, the City Council confirmed the
Mayor's appointments to the Planning Commission, Parks & Community Services Commission and the
Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission. At that time, the Council was advised that no applications were
received for the Senior Center Advisory Commission prior to the advertised deadline. Therefore, Staff
extended the application period to January 4, 2007, and advertised extensively for applications.
A total of six (6) applications were received by the extended deadline from the following Dublin
residents: Martin Baron, Diane Bonetti, Dorothy McBride, Ravi Sodhi, John Stallwitz, and Delilah
Vanderpool.
Mayor Lockhart recommends the appointment of Martin Baron and Diane Bonetti each to 4 year terms
wh!ch expire in December 2010.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council confirm the Mayor's appointment of Martin Baron and Diane
Bonetti to the Senior Center Advisory Committee to 4-year terms which expire in December 2010.
