It is helpful for the Planning Commission: 1) to understand what is contained in the Zoning Ordinance, and 2) to be familiar with how it is laid out. The Staff will remain responsible for the day to day administration of the Zoning Ordinance. In the near future, the Zoning Ordinance will be revised to bring it into conformance with the General Plan and to better address the needs of the City. At this time, Staff recommends that the Planning Commission review the Zoning Ordinance and begin noting those areas where revisions should be considered. ----------------------------------------------------------------- ITEM NO. ~,3 ;....'. t. ..:.. . 'Our Board of Directors voted on FEiliruary~f topursue -fur- ther negotiations with the DOE and to explore the possi- bility of other sites. I informed Richard Ambrose of this action on Monday, February 3. We continue to believe that the irradiator is safe, and would have been a good addition to our present laboratory capabilities in Dublin. However, the long term hearing and regulatory requirements as well as the continuing time and effort in community relations in Dublin would, we feel, divert us from other important activities of the Association. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and I appre- ciate your assistance. Y091S truly, ;;. 7~ / 0/7/'/1/1' 7a,-;,/{r~;;/"J/!/lV Lawr~~ T. Graham WAS H J N G TON, D. C. . Consideration is also being given to conditions and trends within the adjoining San Ramon Valley area of Contra Costa County, including the cities of San Ramon and Danville. With this letter we transmit, for your consideration, copies of background reports prepared by the Planning Department in its first phase of the General Plan review program. You are encouraged to bring these background materials to that meeting. If you have any questions or comments please call me or Bill Allin at the letterhead telephone number.
