'. .\ i~:'1 rL&~.~tw.~~r~,;;:\ "'T"'~" ""-~""I :l:...1Irrll!\f~,,{:in .'. ; .. r--l ~ :,'1 :] t--I ~ h t'T:J ~ :t:t: n [- ~ ~ rn -- /j tSJ 7~ Ql I~]I i-- '_II' . . , A PROCLAMA TlON OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, Lynne Schaack was hired as Secretary to the Commander and Public Affairs Assistant at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, also known as Camp Parks, in October 1989; and WHEREAS, Lynne Schaack, in her desire to build better communication between Camp Parks, its citizen soldiers and the community of Dublin, used her own initiative to create a monthly Post newsletter; established a monibly tenant meeting to help improve communications between on-post organizations and the Command staff,' and established quarterly planning meetings to improve community relations with City, County and other agency officials; and WHEREAS, these years of service have also been marked by dedication to the best interests of Camp Parks and the community by serving as Camp Historian, preserving 50 years of Camp memorabilia, and organizing annual events to commemorate Earth Day, Memorial Day, POW/MIA Day, Veterans Day; and WHEREAS; Lynne Schaack has been recognized by the U. S. Army as the 6th Region's 1997 "Civilian of the Year" for her outstanding contributions and unflagging dedication to her Army Chapter, and WHEREAS, such distinguished and committed service to the local community and to the United States should not go unrecognized by the City of Dublin. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that the Dublin City Council expresses its sincere appreciation for the time and effort expended by Lynne Schaack in serving the needs of our community and its warmest congratulations on her receipt of the 1997 Civilian of the Year Award.
