Acknowledgment to the Donor \ ' FINANCIAL STATEMENT: See Discussion Below DESCRIPTION: The City has received an $192.00 check from the United Way of Santa Clara County. The check is a result of a designated donation on behalf of the Dublin Senior Center by Robin E. Andrew. Robin is the daughter of Martin and Ceil Sirlin, active participants of the Senior Center. Mrs. Andrew has made it her practice to designate the Dublin Senior Center as the recipient of her United Way pledge. Mrs. Andrew's donation reflects how important she feels the Senior Center is to the lives of .her parent~. This donation will be retained in a liability account until ,such time that there is an identified project or need to expend the funds. The appropriate budget .change form will be brought before the City Council for approval when this occurs. Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be formally accepted by the City Council. Therefore it is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council accept the gift and d~ect Staff to prepare a formal acknowledgment to the donor. F:\ccmtgs\giftsr93.doc
