Direct Staff to Prepare Fonnal Acknowledgment to the Donor FINANCIAL STATEMENT: See Discussion Below DESCRIPTION: In May of 1996, volunteers from the Dublin Senior Center participated in the Human Race sponsored by the Valley Volunteer Center. For their efforts, the walkers received a. check in the amount of $1,245.75 earmarked for the Dublin Senior Center. The City has received an additional $63.75 from the Valley Volunteer Center which represents the balance of pledges which were received by the walkers. ._ These funds will be retained in a liability account until such time that there is an identified project or need .(;.0 expend the funds. The appropriate budget change fonn will be brought before the City Council for . . approval when this occurs. Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be. fonna1ly accepted by the City Council. Therefore it is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council accept the gift and direct Staff to prepare a fonnal acknowledgment to The Volunteer Center. ..,.
