ORDINANCE NO-. 11- 84
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
CONSOLIDATING THE CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTION
WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION
THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN does ordain as follows:
Section 1.
CONSOLIDATION
The City of Dublin municipal election shall be
consolidated with the statewide general election which is held on the first
Tuesday after the first MondaY in November in even-numbered years.
Section 2.
EXTENSION OF TERMS OF OFFICE
The terms of office of council members elected to two
year terms at the April 10, 1984 municipal election shall be extended,
pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 36503.5, until the
Tuesday after the day of the general municipal election. The terms of office
of councilmembers elected to four year terms at the April 10, 1984 municipal
election shall be extended until the Tuesday after the day of general
municipal election in November 1988.
Section 3.
BOARD OF SUPERVISOR APPROVAL
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin is directed to
transmit this Ordinance to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for its
approval.
Section 4. POSTING OF ORDINANCE
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this
Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of
Dublin in accordance with Section 3.6933 of the Government Code of the State
of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council'of the 'City of Dublin on
this 14th day of May, 1984, by the following votes:
