HomeMy WebLinkAboutField Trip Analysis 7/2/79 FIELD TRIP ANALYSIS - JULY 2. 1979 SIGN APPEAL - WILLOW TREE RESTAURANT The appeal of Amcoe Sign Company of the disapproval of a new; illuminated parapet mounted, 136 sq. ft., freeway oriented sign of the existing Willow Tree Restaurant at 6513 Regional Street, Dublin. NOTE: Number of signs primarily oriented to the freeways in the Dublin area is still small. Dublin has a great amount of freeway frontage which is presently developing, however, and could become a mish-mash of competing signs aimed at the freeway driver if restraint is not used. Poor visibility of the Willow Tree Restaurant from Dublin Boulevard. The site is not ideal for a use requiring prominent visual exposure. The owner is an experienced restauranteur. however, and chose to build in this location. FIELD TRIP ANALYSIS - JULY 2, 1979 1406TH ZONING UNIT NORTHWOOD HOMES, INC. 1406th Zoning unit, petition of Northwood Homes to reclassify a 4.8 acre parcel from the M-I (Light Industrial) District to the PD (Planned Development) District, permitting both C-2 and M-I uses), located at 6117 Dougherty Road, east side, 800' south of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, Dublin. Note: The existing mixture of commercial and industrial uses along Dougherty Road. The lot and adjacent lots are very deep, but narrow.
