Request from Dublin Chamber of Commerce related to
Dublin Community Day at the Alameda County Fair

RECOMMENDA TION~uthorize City's participation at a cost of $25.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The City's portion of the cost is $25. Sufficient funds are
available in the 1994-95 Budget.
DESCRIPTION: The City has received a letter from the Dublin Chamber of
Commerce requesting that the City participate in co-sponsoring Dublin Community Day at
the Alameda County Fair on Wednesday, June 28, 1995. This participation would include
sharing 1/2 of the cost of a floral bouquet to be presented to the winner of the sponsored
community day horse race. The total cost to the City will be $25.

Dear Rich:
The Alameda County Fair Association has designated Wednesday, June 28, 1995
as IIDublin Dayll at the Alameda County Fair.
In past years the Chamber and the City of Dublin have co-sponsored a featured
horse race presenting the winner with a bouquet of flowers. The cost to sponsor
a race is approximately $50.00 for which the City and Chamber have shared in
the expenses. The t1ayor of Dub 1 in along wi th the Pres i dent of the Chamber have
agreed to make the presentation.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce would again like to invite the City of Dublin
to co-sponsor a featured race on Dublin1s Community Day at the Alameda County
Fai r.
