AGENDA STATEMENT CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: September 12,1995 SUBJECT: Request from the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation for waiver of use fees for the Regional Meeting Room Report Prepared By: Diane Lowart, Parks & Community Services Director EXlllBITS ATTACHED: Correspondence from Claudia McCormick, Representative Dublin Fine Arts Foundation RECOMMENDATION: ~ Approve request -)1 \;)V FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Estimated lost fee revenue: $60 .DESCRIPTION: Correspondence has been received from the Dublin Fine Arts -Foundation (DFAF) requesting that the fees for use of the Regional Meeting Room be waived when the Foundation hosts the Chamber of Commerce mixer. The Foundation is sponsoring this event to acquaint the business community with the art programs of the Association. Under the current Facility Use Policy for the Dublin Civic Center, DF AF would be classified as a Resident Community Group. The fees for use under this classification are as follows: Use during regular business hours: Use outside of regular business hours: Use of the purpose offundraising: no fee $20 per hour $40 per hour In addition to the fees shown above, a $200 Security Deposit (refundable) is required. If the City were to charge DF AF for use of the Regional Meeting Room as requested, the revenue generated would total approximately $60 (3 hours at $20 per hour). As the City Council waived the use fees for DFAF for the same event in February of 1994, Staff recommends that the City Council again waive the use fees for the Regional Meeting Room. .
