FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The City has requested funds estimated at $2,653 for fmancial
assistance for maintenance response and to repair storm damage
from January and March of 1995.
DESCRIPTION: On February 13, 1995, the City Council authorized submittal of an
..> application for reimbursement funds related to flood damage and response which occurred in January of
1995. This was referred to under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA #1044). The City
Council adopted Resolution No. 9-95 designating the City Manager to execute the necessary application.
Subsequent to the February action, FEMA authorized application requests from storms occurring in
March under FEMA #1046. The Office of Emergency Services has requested that the City Council adopt
a resolution which authorizes the application for federal and/or state fmancial assistance for the flood
damage which occurred during the March storms.
The City has applied for funds which will reimburse a portion of the cost of maintenance response and
repairing flood damage. Resolution No. 9-95 cannot be used since the date of adoption was prior to the
date of the second disaster declared by FEMA.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

DESIGNATING CITY MANAGER
AS AGENT TO EXECUTE
OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has applied for federal financial assistance under P.L. ,~3-288 as
amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988 and/or state
financial assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act for flood damage which occurred in January
and March of 1995; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared a report detailing the costs of said damage and
maintenance response and completed the applications for assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
authorize Richard C. Ambrose, City Manager, to execute for and in behalf of the City of Dublin, a public
entity established under the laws of the State of California, said application, and to file it in the Office of
Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining federal and/or state financial assistance as stated above;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Dublin, a public entity established under the laws
. of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the State Office of Emergency Services
for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements required.
