FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The Quitclaim of the Easement will have no financial impact to the
City.
DESCRIPTION: As a result of the proposed development on the property held by
Argonaut Holdings, Inc., the Tri-Valley Saturn-Hummer-Saab Dealership of General Motors has
requested that the City vacate an existing emergency vehicle access easement across Parcel 3 of Parcel
Map 7250, located on the west side of John Monego Court at its southerly terminus just north of Interstate
580 to allow for the improvements. The existing easement lies along the footprints of the proposed
buildings. Argonaut Holdings, Inc., will grant a new emergency vehicle access easement on the parcel
map around the proposed buildings.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the Resolution approving Quitclaim of the Emergency
Vehicle Access Easement to Argonaut Holdings, Inc., across Parcel 3 of the Parcel Map 7250 property.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

APPROVING QUITCLAIM OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE ACCESS EASEMENT
ON PARCEL 3 OF PARCEL MAP 7250 (ARGONAUT HOLDINGS, INC.)
WHEREAS, Argonaut Holdings, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, is the legal owner of the property
located on the west side of John Monego Court at its southerly terminus (APN 941-0016-004, Parcel 3 of
Parcel Map 7250), City of Dublin, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 05-028 on May
10, 2005, approving a Site Development Review (PA 04-041), subject to Conditions of Approval
regarding required on-site/off-site improvements; and
WHEREAS, Argonaut Holdings, Inc., has requested that the City of Dublin vacate the existing
Emergency Vehicle Access Easement across Parcel 3 of Parcel Map 7250 to Argonaut Holdings, Inc., to
allow for development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin desires to quitclaim the existing Emergency Vehicle Access
Easement on Parcel 3 of Parcel Map 7250 to Argonaut Holdings, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Argonaut Holdings, Inc., desires to grant the City of Dublin a replacement
Emergency Vehicle Access Easement on Parcel 3 of Parcel Map 7250;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby approve the quitclaim of said emergency vehicle access easement to Argonaut Holdings, Inc.,
subject to the Conditions of Approval ofthe project known as "General Auto Saturn-Hummer Dealership"
(PA 04-041).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized by the City Council to
execute the Quitclaim Deed, attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall assure that the executed Quitclaim
Deed, together with a certified copy of this Resolution, is recorded with the County Recorder's Office.

A RESOLUTION OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

RELATED TO THE DESIGNATION OF OFFICERS AUTHORIZED
TO ACCEPT AND DIRECT RECORDATION OF DEEDS
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of developing an
efficient mechanism for the acceptance of deeds; and
WHEREAS, Section 27281 of the California Government Code
(CGC) requires that deeds or grants conveying any interest in or
easement upon real estate to a governmental agency for public
purposes must meet specific requirements; and
WHEREAS, the requirements include evidence of a
certificate or resolution.of acceptance attached to the deed or
grant prior to recordation; and
WHEREAS, Section 27281 provides that a governmental
agency may authorize one or more officers by general resolution to
accept and consent to such deeds or grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Dublin, pursuant to Section 27281 (CGC), does hereby
authorize the City Manager and/or the City Engineer to accept and
consent to such deeds or grants, conveying any interest in or
easement upon real estate, on behalf of the City of Dublin.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of April,
1987.
