RECOMMENDATION~
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Authorize request for bids for the project to construct
a four-way traffic signal at the intersection of Dublin
Boulevard and Amador Plaza Road with bid opening date
of Monday, November 14, 1983 at 10:00 a.m.
Preliminary estimate of construction cost is $68~000.
Sufficient funds have been budgeted
-ESCRIPTION : This project was approved by the City Council as part
of the 1983-84 Capital Improvement Program. The total estimated
project cost is $100,000. This includes approximately $15,000 for
engineering and inspection costs. The developer of the Enea office
complex was required to fund 25% of the cost of the signal as a
condition of development. The developer constructed a portion of the
improvements under the minor subdivision work for the Enea Plaza
office complex. These improvements included four signal foundations,
one signal standard, and signal conduit. These improvements were made
with the minor subdivision improvements so that the new street
improvements would not have to be dug up and patched. In addition,
the developer made a cash deposit with the City to cover his
remaining obligation to the signal project.
The timing of this project is such that the underground work will be
completed prior to the proposed street overlay on Dublin Boulevard.
