FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The project will be developer built as specified in the Development
and Improvement Agreements.
DESCRIPTION At the June 4, 2002 meeting of the Dublin City Council, the Council
approved the final design by BSA Architects for the two new Fire Stations, 17 & 18 and authorized the
completion of the construction documents. The consultant has provided plan sets for review to the City
departments, has received comments and incorporated them into the Bid Set.
The permitted Construction Documents for Station 18 will be provided to the Developer, DR
Acquisitions, LLC to be negotiated and built under a separate contract as required by the Improvement
Agreement approved by Council in October of 2001. Final occupancy for Station '18 is anticipated by July
2003.
Station 17 will be going through a final cost estimate prior to authorization to bid from City Council.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council take the following action;
1. Authorize Staff to distribute Construction Documents for station 18 to Developer for Bid
