Appointment of Alternate to Livermore-Amador Valley Transit
Authority, Joint Powers Authority (JPA), Board of Directors

RECOMMENDATION:

1. Confirm the Mayor's Appointment of a Councilmember as the
alternate to the City's representatives on the Livermore-Amador
Valley Transit Authority JP A.
2. Direct Staff to notify LA VT A of the appointment.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LA VTA) provides
local public transit service to the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton and to the adjacent
unincorporated areas of Alameda County. Mayor Lockhart and Councilmember Hildenbrand are currently
the City's representatives on the LA VTA JP A Board of Directors. The appointment of an alternate is
needed in the event the two Councilmembers are unavailable to attend a LA VT A meeting.
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the appointment of a Councilmember as an alternate to
the Livermore-Amador Valley Transit Authority JPA.
