DESCRIPTION: This project painted the street side of the wooden soundwall along the west side of San Ramon Road from Alcosta Boulevard to Silvergate Drive. This soundwall was constructed by the City in 1988 as sound mitigation for the widening of San Ramon Road. When the City built the soundwall, easements were obtained to construct the soundwall, and the City retained the right, but not the responsibility, to maintain the road side ofthe soundwall. The project is now complete, and Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements under Contract No. 08-01, San Ramon Road Wooden Soundwall Repair and Painting Project, and authorize the release of retention after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
