SUBJECT:
Acceptance of Grant Deeds for East Dougherty Hills
Park and Dougherty Hills Open Space Parcels

RECOMMENDATION: ~~dopt Resolution accepting Grant
Deeds.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The adding of Parcels A and D to the Dougherty Hills
Open Space Park will incur the cost of maintaining
fencing and firebreaks; the acceptance of Lots B and C
cover the dedication of land for the East Dougherty
Hills Park and will require maintenance of park
facilities once installed and accepted.
DESCRIPTION:
At the regular meeting of September 8, 1986, the City Council approved
an agreement with Rafanelli & Nahas for the dedication of 5.6 acres of active
parkland (Lots B and C).
In addition, open space parcels A and D were offered for dedication for
open space as part of the Final Subdivision Map approval. The proposed
Landscaping and Lighting District (on this agenda) provides that the District
will be responsible for the stability of the slopes within these open space
lots for three years from the date of acceptance of the Tract 5511
improvements. Lot A is approximately 7.43 acres; Lot Dis approximately 0.54
acres.
The agreement requires Rafanelli and Nahas to construct the park
improvements, in conjunction with their development, according to the plans
being developed by the City's park design consultant.
Lot H is a five-foot fee strip of land at the end of the street abutting
the City Limit line (Crossridge Road) which allows the City of Dublin to
control the access to and from the future development in San Ramon from this
street.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ACCEPTING FOR THE PUBLIC GRANT DRRDS
WHEREAS, the developer of the Villages at Alamo Creek is required
to deed 5.6 acres of parkland to the City of Dublin, those being Lots B and C;
and
WHEREAS, the developer is offering to deed Lots A and D to
enlarge the City's open space park; and
WHEREAS, the developer is required to deed a five-foot strip of
land at the northerly end of Crossridge Road, that being Lot H; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Dublin to
accept these lots for park and access purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council does
hereby accept these grant deeds from Rafanelli and Nahas, Lots A, B, C, and D
for park purposes and Lot H for access or non-access purposes.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 10th day of November, 1986.
