Confirm Mayor's appointments to Youth Advisory Committee for
the term through May 2009
None
DESCRIPTION: At the September 2, 2008 meeting, the City Council confirmed the
Mayor's appointment of 11 youth and three alternates to the Youth Advisory Committee for the term of
September 2008 through May 2009. Additionally, since there were no applications from middle school
students, the Council agreed with the Mayor's recommendation that the application period remain open
for the remaining two spots on the Youth Advisory Committee. The application period for the adult at-
large representative was to remain open as well since no applications were received.
Three applications have now been received from middle school students and the Mayor recommends the
appointment of Katie Stangeland, an Stn grader from Wells Middle School, and Brooke Brunkhorst, a 7tn
grader at Fallon Middle School, to the two remaining spots on the Youth Advisory Committee.
A letter of interest has also been received for the adult at-large representative and the Mayor recommends
the appointment of Jenna E. Heath to this position.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council confirm the Mayor's
appointments to Youth Advisory Committee for the term through May 2009.
