Installation Will be performed through the City's contract wikh Alameda County for traffic signal maintenance. was Involved in a hit and run accident several years ago. While the cabinet was not destroyed in the accident, the door and door opening were bent, and the door is now very difficult to open. The dust seal for this cabinet has also been compromised, which is detrimental to the electronic equipment inside the cabinet. This intersection is not planned to be upgaded for several more years, and it is therefore recommended that the cabinet be replaced as a maintenance item. Staff'solicited price quotations from four suppliers oftraffc signaI equipment, and posted a Notice to Bidders in the City's three public posting locations. The lowest responsive bid was received from Synchronex, Inc., who is capable of manufacturing a cabinet that is compatible with the City's Traconex traffic signal controllers and auxiliary equipment.
