Letter from Applicant RECOMMENDATION: Remove the item from consideration at this time, at the request of the Applicant. DESCRIPTION: The Tri-Valley SPCA project was advertised to be heard before the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on June 22, 1999. At this public hearing, the project was continued at the request of the Applicant to the next Planning Commission meeting on July 27, 1999. The Applicant has now requested that the project be removed from Planning Commission consideration at this time and not placed on furore agendas. The Oakland SPCA has re- evaluated its business plan and future needs for the Tri-Valley area. The Oakland SPCA has decided to modify the current proposal and will be resubmitting project plans for staff review at a future date. This will mean theproject will be redesigned, though the overall architectural character of the project will remain consistent with what ha~ been presented thus far. With this in mind, we ask that the project be removed from futm-e City Council and Planning Commission agendas until the redesign is complete. We Mil resubmit the drawings as soon as they are ready.
