Design, inspection and misc. costs $ 8,350.00 $ 4,676.00 Construction Improvement $65.000.00 $54.699.75 $54~699.75 TOTAL: $172,250.00 $142,996.50 $123,174.50 DESCRIPTION: On December 2, 1997, the City Council awarded the San Ramon Road Landscape Repair and Silvergate Drive Median Landscaping, Phase II contract to R_MT Landscape, Incorporated. This project is a continuation of the renovation of existing landscaping °n San Ram°n Road from Silvergate Drive to Vomac Road. Landscaping along San Rarnon Road had experienced a difficult time establishing in thk existing soil. This project included the removal of existing soil and replacement ~dth top soil and fir bark top dressing. The existing median was excavated and filled with an aggregate base and sand along the edges and topsoil on the interior. The sand and aggregate base proxdded the foundation for new paver stones. Paver stones were placed in a pattern to match those in the medians along Dublin Boulevard and Village Parkway. Coast Redwood trees were planted in clusters of three along the length of the wider section of the median and Crape Myrtle trees were planted at 30 feet on center in the narrower sections. In addition to the landscaping and irrigation, the south end of the median nose was reconfigured to conform to the furore Dublin Boulevard Widening. All work has been completed as per City plans and specifications. Staff recommends that Council accept improvements for Contract 97-12 and authorize payment to RMT Landscape Contractors, Incorporated. 2
