A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT MEASURE K
WHEREAS, the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District has established
a record of effective mosquito control and sound fiscal management; and
WHEREAS, the District has protected the health and welfare of the
residents of the City of Dublin through control of pest and vector mosquitoes:
and
WHEREAS, a 40% loss of revenues has severely effected the ability of
the District to adequately control the mosquitoes, endangering the public
health and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the District has placed a special tax measure on the 1982
June ballot, asking for a modest increase not to exceed $1.75 per year for
a single family residence or $8.75 per year for an apartment house of 5
units or more;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Dublin urges the citizens to vote YES on MEASURE K to restore effective
mosquito control.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1982, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Jeffery, Moffatt and Mayor Snyder
NOES:
ABSENT: None
