SUBJECT: Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Update to the Adopted Five Year Capital
Improvement Program (2008 - 2013)

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt the Resolution
finding conformity with the adopi:ed General Plan for Public Works

Dublin Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Government Code Sections 65401 and 65402(a) require the Planning; Commission to review public works
projects proposed for the ensuing fiscal year for their conformance with the City's adopted General Plan.
City Staff has prepared the Five Year Capital Improvement Progran (CIP) covering Fiscal Years 2008-
2013, which was adopted by the City Council in June 2008. This plan was prepared to identify the needs
for major infrastructure improvements and capital items for this five year period. For the upcoming year
Staff has prepared the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Update, which identifies updated costs and scheduling for
projects within the same five year period 2008-2013.
The Planning Commission's role is to review those major public works projects within the Capital
Improvement Program and to determine whether they are in conformance with the City's General Plan.
Not all of the Capital Items within the Capital Improvement Program are major public works projects.
Projects that are proposed for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 in the Update to the Five Year CIP as it relates to the
review by the Planning Commission include the following:
