This project is Phase 1 of the widening of Dublin Boulevard from two to four lanes betwe, en..Silvergate Drive and Hansen Drive, and realigning Dublin/Silvergate to a more conventional "T" intersection. . The Phase 1 project includes installing a traffic signal at the intersection of Dublin/Hansen, widening approximately 520 feet~of Dublin Boulevard west of Hansen Drive, and modifying a driveway south of this intersection to align With Hansen Drive A total of 5 bids were received with the_!0W bid of $46,6,618.35 bei~ng submitted ........ by Bay Cities Paving & Grading, Inc. WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on July 16, 1999, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed bids for doing the work described inthe approved Plans, Specifications, and Modifications for Contract 99-06, Dublin Boulevard Improvements in the vicinity of Hansen Drive, authorized by the City Council-on May 18, 1999, which Plans, Specifications, and Modifications are hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and for all particulars relative to the proceedings under the request for bids; and WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has recommended that the bid hereinafter mentioned is the lowest and best bid for doing said work. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does /""'hereby award City of Dublin Contract 99-06 to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc., with a bid of Four Hundred Sixty Six Thousand Six Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Thirty Five Cents ($466,618.35), the particulars of which bid are on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
