A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AUTHORIZING THE CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD
TO ALLOCATE THE CITY'S SHARE OF OIL RECYCLING FUNDS TO THE
ALAMEDA COUNTY OUTREACH EFFORT FOR OIL RECYCLING
WI-~REAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Act, AB 939, requires the City to
establish and promote a City Household Hazardous Waste Element (HHWE); and
WHEREAS, the City's H/-IWE requires the City to engage in an active and ongoing public
information campaign; and
WHEREAS, the City currently participates in a regional household hazardous waste collection
program; and
WHEREAS, the City's HHWE can be most effectively promoted by a regional advertising
campaign utilizing funds pooled from other Alameda County jurisdictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Dublin authorizes the California
Integrated Waste Management Board to allocate the City's share of oil recycling funds to the Alameda
County Outreach Effort for Oil Recycling.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1997.
