EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This report details the contributions received from various local businesses and organizations
for the Bike to Work Day Energizer Station held on May 13, 2010.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Only in-kind support was received.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recognize the sponsors and formally accept the contributions.

DESCRIPTION:
The City of Dublin co-hosted an Energizer Station during the 2010 Bike to Work Day on
Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station underpass. Approximately 430
bicyclists visited the Energizer Station while commuting to work, and the bicyclists received free
refreshments, T-shirts, entry in a raffle for bike-related prizes, and tote bags containing
giveaways from regional and local contributing sponsors. A list of local sponsoring businesses
is shown below.

Staff would also like to offer special recognition to Dublin Cyclery, who was a collaborating
organizer of the Bike to Work Day Energizer Station and helped table the event. Dublin Cyclery
also donated several "free flat repair" and "free helmet" coupons to the- raffle held at the
Energizer Station.
Staff recommends that, per Government Code Section, 37354, the City Council formally accept
the contributions and recognize the sponsors by presenting them with certificates of
appreciation for supporting Bike to Work Day.
