RrCOMMENDATION: Review the current committee appointments and makc changes
and/or appointmcnts to the various committees as deemed necessary.

DESCRIY'1'ION: I'here are committees that require the rcpresentation of a meinber of
the Parks and Cominunity Services Commission. As per Yhe Bylatii,s and IZules of Procedzlre for thc
Commission, the Commission or the Chairperson, upon direction of the Commission, may appoint several
of its membcrs, but fewcr than a quorum, to serve as a Committee. A summary of the various committecs
and thc current representatives and alternates are shown below.
Scnior Center Advisorv Committee
An ongoing committee which advises the Parks and Community Services Commission, the City Council
and the Staff on matters pertaining to the operation of the Senior Center. The Commission representative
will serve as a liaison between the Committee and the Commission. The Senior Ccnter fldvisory
Committee meets the 17rst Thursday oPthe month at 9:00 a.m. at the Dublin Civic Center.

Youth ndvisory Committcc
An ongoing committce which advises the Parks and Community Seivices Cominission, the City Cowlcil
and the Sta17'on youth serviccs and programming. "I'he Commission repcesentative will serve as a liaison
between the Committce and the Commission. The Youth Advisory Committee meets the iourth
Wednesday oPthe month at 7:00 p.m. at the Dublin Civic Center.

Youth Sports Liaison Committee
An ongoing committee whose purpose is to maintain open lines of communication with local youth sports
groups (Dublin Little League, Dublin United Soccer League, Dublin Youth Football and St. Raymond's
CYO Basketball). Meetings are typically held quarterly.
Representative: Steve Jones
Allernate: Alan Flias
Special I:vents Logistics Committee
An ongoing committee whose purpose is to provide input to the City on the planning, marketing,
operation and evaluation of the special events weekend activities such as St. Patrick's Day and Day on the
Glen. Committee meetings are twice per year.
Representative: Szre Flores (St. Patrick's Day I'estival)
Alternate: Angela Muetterties (Day on the Glen Festival)
Art Selection Committee Shannon Communitv Center
An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide recommendations to the City Council on the selection
of public art lor the new Shannon Community Center.
Represenlative: Angela Muetterties
Alternale: Alan Elias
The Shannon CommuniTy Center Public Art process was completed in December 2007 with the
acceptancc of the public art recommendations by the City Council. Therefore it is recommended that this
Committee be deleted from the list of Committees.
I3icvcle Master Plan Committee
An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide input on the Citywide Bicycle Master Plan being
prepared by the Public Works Department.

The I3il<eways Master Plan was adopted by the City Council in July 2007. Therefore it is recommended
that this Committee be deleted from the list of Committees.
RECOMMI:NDATION: Staff recommends that the Parks and Community Services
Commission review the current committee appointments and make changes and/or appointments to the
various committees as deemed necessary.
