Zbe City of Dublin seeks a netv City fjistorian
Do you have a vested interest in Dublin's history? Are you a history buff who enjoys doing
research? If the answer is yes, now is your chance to apply for the honorary post of Dublin's City
Historian. The City Historian serves as a public advocate and researcher in matters pertaining to
Dublin's history. He or she will be called upon to answer queries relating to the history of Dublin;
assist with genealogical research, serve on historic committees and as a liaison with the Heritage
and Cultural Arts Commission, the Dublin Historic Preservation Association, the Dublin Library
and the City of Dublin.
To Qualify You Must Be-
• A resident of Dublin or the descendent of a Dublin family
• 18 years or older
• Be a published author or willing to publish and possess the ability to write and communicate
effectively
• Possess knowledge of the City and its history, as demonstrated through original writing and
research.
To Apply, You Must Submit-
• An application form
• A one page letter of interest
• A resume including a list of published works (aS applicable)
Term of Office: This is a volunteer position serving a two-year term
