HomeMy WebLinkAboutPCReso 96-27 PA96-003 Unocal ND RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 27 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ADOPTING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SIGNIFICANCE FOR PA 96-003 UNOCAL 76 SERVICE STATION RECONSTRUCTION AND EXPANSION WHEREAS, the Applicant, Ron Jacobs of Robert Lee & Associates, has filed a Conditional Use Permit and Site Development Review application requesting approval to reconstruct and expand the existing Unocal Service Station, located at 6401 Dublin Boulevard. The project consists of a new 24-hour Service Station type 'A' facility with a 1,300 square foot 'Fast Break' food mart and a new 960 square foot drive-through automatic car wash, located at 6401 Dublin Boulevard, within the C-2, General Commercial Zoning District. The project will include a new fuel island canopy, dispensers, landscaping, parking, signage, sidewalk and driveway improvements, including minor off-site improvements on the adjacent Pak-N-Save site; and WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), State CEQA guidelines and City Environmental Guidelines require that certain projects be reviewed for environmental impacts and that environmental documents be prepared; and WHEREAS, the application has been reviewed in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and a Negative Declaration has been prepared for this project as it will not have a significant effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hold a public hearing on said application on August 6, 1996; did review and consider the Negative Declaration; and did adopt Resolution No. 96-27, adopting the Negative Declaration, Resolution No. 96-28 approving the Conditional Use Permit, Resolution No. 96-29 approving the Site Development Review; and WHEREAS, public notice of Negative Declaration was given in all respects as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Dublin does hereby find that: 1. The project will not have a significant effect on the environment; and The Negative Declaration has been prepared and processed in accordance with State and local laws and guideline regulation; and 3. The Negative Declaration is complete and adequate. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE Planning Commission of the City of Dublin does hereby adopt the Negative Declaration for PA 96-003 Unocal 76 Service Station Reconstruction and Expansion Conditional Use Permit and Site Development Review. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1996.
