A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING NEW STREET NAME "ST. PATRICK WAY" FOR NEW STREET
PARALLEL TO AND SOUTHERLY OF DUBLIN BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council recommended three alternate street names for a new street parallel to
and southerly of Dublin Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Postal Service, emergency services, and other appropriate agencies have
reviewed the proposed street names, and the Alameda County Community Development Agency has
responded that "St. Patrick" is acceptable; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 7.08 of the Dublin Municipal Code grants the City Council authority to
approve a new street name by adoption of a resolution without holding a public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council finds that the name "St.
Patrick Way" is in compliance with Section 7.08.070 of the Dublin Municipal Code relating to naming of
public streets, and that the new street name will not be detrimemal to the public health, safety, or general
welfare.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves the name "St. Patrick Way" for the
new street parallel to and southerly of Dublin Boulevard.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, 1997.
