DESCRIPTION . One of the first Ordinances adopted by the City upon
incorporation was an Ordinance designating the Dublin Library as the meeting
location for all City Council meetings.
The Civic Center is anticipated to accommodate future meetings of the City
Council. It is appropriate to revise the Ordinance related to the
designated City Council meeting location. The revision will list the
Council Chambers of the Dublin Civic Center as the location for all regular
meetings of the Dublin City Council.
Also, shortly after incorporation, the City designated 3 places in the City
as the posting locations for City's Ordinances. Following their adoption,
Ordinances are posted within 15 days and remain posted for public view for a
period not less than 30 days. It is appropriate at this time to change the
posting location from the City Clerk~s Office at 6500 Dublin Boulevard to
the Dublin Civic Center. The kiosk area will have adequate space for the
posting of all City meeting agendas, ordinances, public hearing notices, and
other appropriate documents and this area is accessible for viewing by the
public on a 24 hour per day basis.
Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing and then
waive the reading and on an urgency basis, adopt the Ordinance designating
the Dublin Civic Center as the meeting location for the City Council and
adopt the Resolution related to posting locations for City Ordinances.
