The City Council will present a proclamation to Ms. Kathy Rosselle on her upcoming retirement
as Principal of Wells Middle School.

The City Council will present a proclamation to Ms. Kathy Rosselle, Principal of Wells Middle
School, in recognition of her commitment to Dublin students for the past twenty-one years.

WHEREAS, Kathy Rosselle began her career with Dublin Unified School District on May 4, i99o,~ as a~ grade.E'LA &
Reading Specialist, held the title of Counselor for eight years, and then continued for three years as Assistant Principal,
before beginning her current title as Principal of Wells Middle School, which she has held for eight years; and
WHER.E~~S, Ms. Rosselle was recognized by the Association of California School Administrators as the 2002 Co=
Administrator of the Year and as the Association of California School Administrator's 2006 Administrator of the year,
due to her dedication, time, energy and tremendous sense of responsibility she gives to any position; and
WHERF.A.S, during her tenure as Principal of Wells, it has been her broad vision which has directed and motivated the
campus towards being recognized as a 2009 California Distinguished School, a 2oio California State School of
Character and a Character Education Partnership 201o Promising Practice Award Winner; and
WHEREAS, as a Title 1 school that addresses the educational needs of ~oo students from the Dublin community, Ms.
Rosselle has consistently faced with fortitude the many challenges that come with supervising the diverse needs of such
a broad population.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Dublin City Council, do congratulate and wish Ms. Rosselle a
wonderful retirement and future for the wonderful leadership given in her twenty-one years of commitment to the youth
of Dublin and for making a difference in the Dublin community.
