FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION . In an effort to maximize the small amount of storage
space available in existing City offices, Staff has researched the retention
requirements related to certain records.
In accordance with Government Code Section 34090, the City may destroy
certain records after 2 years. The City Attorney's Office has reviewed the
list of those records to be destroyed and is in concurrence with same.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the
destruction of City records related to the April 1984 Election.

I have reviewed the list of records in the proposed "Resolution
Authorizing Destruction of City Records Related to April 1984
Election." These records may properly be destroyed in accordance
with Government Code § 34090; accordingly, consent is hereby given
to such destruction.
