To the Dublin Planning Commission,
I am a long time resident of Danville, CA, but I shop and support businesses in the Alamo, Danville, San
Ramon and Dublin area. Recently while shopping at Sahara Market in Dublin, I learned of the difficulty they
are having with trying to expand. In talking with their establishment owners, they shared with me their plans
for expansion. They expressed a desire to grow their business, as well as offer quality services and products to
the community at reasonable prices. In addition, included it their plan is a strategy to revitalize adjacent vacant
space.
I ask that you treat Sahara Market equally when considering zoning regulations, and I ask that you reconsider
your unjust zoning interpretation restricting Sahara Market expansion. Thank you.
A concerned citizen,
Raymond Waespi

It's laughable when the Dublin. Mayor and the Planning Commission say they are business
friendly. Anyone who has done business in Dublin knows otherwise. Big government is alive
and well in Dublin. The Sahara Market expansion situation is just one more example of the city
micro managing what they know little about ie running a small business. If the Sahara Market is
successful, it has nothing to do with the city government but rather the hard work of the owner
and employees. Let them expand their business and thank them for risking their fortunes in the
toughest economy in decades.

> Dear officials,
> Please accept Sahara Market Expansion request within legal limits. I enjoy different culture food
and ingredients at Sahara which is not available other places.
> I appreciate your efforts to keep everything to meet rules but we have to look positive in today's
tough conditions and appreciate new employment opportunities plus tax revenue to operate cities.
> Best regards
