I also waive .the requirement to take action on the appeal within 75 days. Please advise whether I need to attend tonight's hearing. Regards, Jay Fink Hi Jay, Thank you for sending me this email. We are in full support of the request for a continuance and look forward to working to create a viable solution without the need for the appeal hearing. In our meeting with Brad yesterday, we discussed a continuance and an agreement to hold an appeal hearing, if needed, by September 27t1i. This will enable us time to work out a resolution. This will also enable us to address public notice requirements and hold a properly notices appeal. public hearing on or before September 27`~ should one he necessary. Therefore, we ask that you revise your continuance request to include a request to hold. a public hearing for the appeal on or before September 27"' and. also waive the requirement to take action on the appeal with 75 days of when it was filled (Zoning Ordinance Section $.136.060.A). Please send me an email to confirm if you are in agreement with this information. Also, please feel free to contact me or Li~ida. Maurer if you or Brad would like to discuss this. I am, however, a frequent visitor of the City of Dublin, mainly because of Sahara Market. This ethnic market provides a service that no other local supermarket provides in that it has a "halal" butcher and offers a unique array of spices and dishes not available anywhere in the San Ramon Valley. I understand that after the Planning Commission was about to approve the expansion of Sahara Market and after Sahara MArket signed a lease with the property owner, the Planning Commission changed it's mind about the expansion due to the interpretation of what constitutes a restaurant vs. a market. Regardless, Sahara Market offers a unique flavor to Dublin that should be appreciated. It not only serves Dublinites, but it induces my business (i.e. my money is circulating in Dublin, even though I live in San Ramon). I appeal to you, please allow this small operation to flourish and continue to bring in much needed revenue to Dublin during these hard economic times. Many Thanks Dina EL-Nakhal San Ramon, CA
