Acceptance of Gifts from 2011 Dublin Community Golf Tournament Sponsors

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will receive a report on the donations made for the 2011 Dublin Community
Golf Tournament from Dublin businesses and organizations to support the City's Youth Fee
Assistance Program.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
$1,800 in monetary sponsorships was received, as well as in-kind donations.
RECOMMENDATION:
As per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be
formally accepted by the City Council. Therefore, Staff recommends that the City Council
recognize the sponsors and formally accept the contributions.

On September 21, 2011, the City held the Dublin Community Golf Tournament. Sixty-six golfers
participated in the tournament and $2,000 was raised for the City's Youth Scholarship Fund.
This event was supported by $1,800 in donations by local businesses in addition to in-kind
donations of goods and services.
