Senior Center Heating System Repairs

FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Low bid received: $16,923.00
DESCRIPTION:
At the November 14, 1988, meeting, the City Council authorized Staff to
solicit bids for replacement of four heat pumps at the Dublin Senior Center.
Formal bid procedures were waived, as four of the five "heat pumps at the
Senior Center were nonfunctional, and the building was too cold to serve its
purpose. A budget transfer of up to $20,000 was authorized.
Each contractor proposed different brand names of heating units,
although all were similar. Each bid included the following major equipment,
as well as all electrical, ductwork, labor, and removal of old units.
